The art work on this seax was inspired by the Irish penannular brooches of the viking age. The
blade was hand forged of 1095 steel and shows the hamon from the differential heat treatment.
The grip is hand-carved cherry wood and bone with grasping dragon braids, and traditional
irish patterns. Chased brasswork dragon heads embellish the saddle leather sheath.
