This broken back Seax was inspired by the carvings on the prow of the Osberg Ship.
The Blade is forged out of 1095 steel, marquenched and tempered. The Grip is hand
carved out of African Blackwood with different motifs common on Norse art of the
Viking age. The guards and pommel are hand engraved and are made out of polished
1018 steel. I used the traditional peened tang and riveted pommel construction on
this piece.
