Tibetan Sling

This sling is made in the Tibetan style. The round portions of the cords are 16-strand braids. The split portion of the retention cord is made of two 8-strand braids, but the split portion of the release cord is plied rather than braided, as is the end of that cord. The flat parts by the pouch and the loop are composed of four 8-strand square braids sewn together to make the wider pattern areas. The pouch is woven with twined wefts.
