3 ft. Nylon Snake Whip
I made this 3 ft. snake whip to test an idea I had for making a whip core. The core is made from a combination of 550 parachute cord, and both 3/8" and 1/2" nylon sinker cord. I filled about 9 inches of 550 cord with #8 lead shot, and put one end of that into about 9 inches of 3/8" sinker cord. After sewing the two cords together, I filled the sinker cord with shot as well. Over the 3/8 sinker cord, I put a length of 1/2" sinker cord. My idea was to create a core that had good weight distribution as well tapered in diameter.
